The property is in a quiet location in the centre of Buzet-sur-Baise village (50m from the Mairie). It is within 5 minutes walk of local amenities including Boulangerie, Cafe and 4 restaurants (in high season). Buzet sur Baise is at the instersection of two cycling routes, many other picturesque rides are easily accessible.
The village lies on the Canal La Garonne, approximately halfway between Bordeaux and Toulouse. The area has many tourist-centered activities within a short drive or cycle ride, including: Teleski (watersport), night markets, vineyard tours, Museums etc.
For those on longer stays, the major cities of Bordeaux and Toulouse and their cultural activities are within easy reach by car (or train from Aiguillon [5km])
Although there are many beautiful walks in the vicinity, cycling is the ideal method of access for most local attractions. For those wishing to travel further afield (for example to the excellent aerospace museum in Toulouse), Buzet is 5km from the main train line from Toulouse to Bordeaux (Aiguillon Lot et Garonne station).
For those flying into Bordeaux Merignac airport, either take the shuttlebus or (from September 2022) the tram to Bordeaux St Jean railway station. Typical journey time from Bordeaux St Jean to Aiguillon is 65 minutes. We can meet the train at Aiguillon (by prior arrangement when booking).
